A mature baobab tree with a thick sculptural trunk standing in pale cream sand beneath a soft cream sky

Baobab. Toning & elasticity.

A remarkably resilient tree. An exercise-inspired approach to skin that looks firmer, feels springier and holds its shape.

The plant behind the science

Built to withstand. Inspired to support.

Adansonia digitata, the African Baobab, is known for its extraordinary trunk and ability to withstand harsh, dry conditions. Its natural resilience inspired a different approach to cosmetic toning.

Rather than pressing the seed for oil, this biotechnology cultivates the plant’s cells. Controlled stimulation encourages a rich blend of protective molecules — a botanical starting point for skin-supporting research.

Cultivated plant cells provide the active compounds; they do not become living cells in your skin.

The science, made simple

A little inspiration from exercise.

01

Inspired by a resilient tree

Baobab cells are cultivated under controlled conditions. Carefully managed stimulation encourages them to produce a blend of polyphenols, terpenes and proteins.

02

Exercise-inspired signals

Exercise releases tiny messenger molecules. Laboratory research explores how the Baobab active stimulates related signals in skin cells and communication with muscle cells.

03

Support for skin’s spring

The cosmetic aim is firmer, more elastic-looking skin. Volunteer studies measured how skin resisted stretching, bounced back and held its facial contours.

The skin, connective tissue and muscle form a connected support system. Cell experiments explore their communication; they do not establish that skincare builds muscle or replaces exercise.

Firmness you can measure. Spring you can understand.

An instrument gently stretched the skin to assess resistance, recovery and fatigue. The study tracked changes with the Baobab active, alongside a placebo.

Double-blind, placebo-controlled study; 60 participants aged 40–65 with sagging skin and reduced elasticity. Full-face application twice daily. These maximum changes from baseline are not the average response or the percentage advantage over placebo.

Biolift Serum in use

More than firmness alone

A more supported facial contour.

The same study also measured sagging beneath the jaw. Three facial distances were tracked to assess how the contour changed over time.

−4.5 mm

Mean reduction in measured jawline sagging · day 56

The reported reduction was −2.9 mm at day 28 and −4.5 mm at day 56, averaged across the three measured lines. This describes the study’s facial measurements, not a guaranteed lift for every person.

Ingredient-level facial research on the active. These facial measurements should not be read as body-contour results.

A little more clarity

Your Baobab questions.

What does toning mean for my skin?

Here, toning means skin that looks firmer and more supported. Elasticity is its ability to stretch and spring back. The Baobab research measured both, along with skin fatigue and facial sagging.

Is this the same as Baobab oil or a conventional extract?

No. Baobab oil is a different ingredient. This active comes from cultivated Baobab plant cells, guided to produce a specific blend of bioactive molecules. The supplied research does not include a direct head-to-head potency test against a conventional Baobab extract.

Does it really give my skin a workout?

“Exercise-inspired” describes the science, not a literal workout. Laboratory studies explored messenger molecules linked to exercise and communication between skin and muscle cells. A cosmetic product does not replace movement or physical exercise.

How long were firmness and elasticity studied?

The main toning study ran for 56 days, with measurements at 28 and 56 days. It involved 60 women and men aged 40–65, using the active on the full face twice daily. Reported “up to” figures are the largest observed changes, not the study averages or guaranteed results.

Where will I find Baobab in Trademark HER?

Baobab stem cell biotechnology features in Biolift Serum and Sculpting Body Lotion. Biolift Serum pairs it with Dragon Fruit technology for a firmer, lifted-looking complexion; Sculpting Body Lotion pairs it with Sarcocapnos for more toned-looking body skin. The ingredient’s facial research and the body-care application are distinct.
