Ingredient study: 27 volunteers aged 31–49, BMI 25–30, across diet and no-diet groups. The active was studied twice daily on skin; these are ingredient-level findings.

The plant behind the idea
Sarcocapnos crassifolia grows in the south of the Iberian Peninsula. This unassuming plant is the inspiration for an active designed around fat mobilisation and skin support.
“Liposculpting” brings two ideas together: how stored fats are mobilised, and how the fibres supporting skin are maintained. The aim is not simply a smaller measurement — it is skin that looks and feels more toned.
The active is produced from cultivated plant cells; they do not become living cells in your skin.
The science, made simple
Sarcocapnos has a natural strategy for mobilising stored fats. Its cultivated cells produce the molecules behind this body-focused active.
Laboratory research explores fat mobilisation alongside the support of collagen and elastin — the fibres that help skin feel firm and springy.
The active was then studied on volunteers, measuring firmness, elasticity and changes in body contours over eight weeks.
Laboratory mechanisms and changes measured on volunteers are different types of evidence. This cosmetic concept does not establish whole-body fat loss or the effects of a medical procedure.
Body skin study · no-diet group
Firmness is how well skin resists stretching. Elasticity is how well it springs back. An instrument called a Cutometer measured both in a study of the Sarcocapnos active.
| Body skin measurement | Day 28 | Day 56 |
|---|---|---|
| Firmness · with the active | +7% | +9% |
| Firmness · placebo | +3% | 0% |
| Elasticity · with the active | +5% | +10% |
| Elasticity · placebo | +4% | +3% |
Reported changes from baseline, not percentage-point advantages over placebo. The 27-person study included women and men aged 31–49, BMI 25–30, studied twice daily on the face and body for 28 and 56 days. Shown here: body results from the no-diet group.
The contour study
A separate study of 25 volunteers aged 40–55 tested the active, studied twice daily over 56 days. Thigh circumference was measured in diet and no-diet groups.
−1.4 cm
The treated measurement fell from 53.6 to 52.2 cm. The placebo measurement stayed at 53.5 cm.
−3.8 cm
The placebo group also recorded −3.2 cm. The larger change cannot be attributed to the active alone.

Behind the visible changes
Collagen helps give skin structure. Elastin helps it stretch and spring back. Laboratory studies using skin tissue explored how the active supported these two important fibres.

Here, it is the name of a cosmetic ingredient concept: exploring fat mobilisation together with support for skin’s firmness and elasticity. It is not liposuction, a medical treatment or a promise of weight loss.
It begins with Sarcocapnos crassifolia, but the cells are cultivated under controlled conditions rather than simply extracting a harvested plant. The resulting active contains plant-derived compounds including bioflavonoids and fumaric acid. The documents do not provide a direct potency comparison with a conventional Sarcocapnos extract.
The body studies followed changes at 28 and 56 days, studied twice daily. Eight weeks is the final study time point, not a guarantee of when you will see a change. Your results depend on the finished formula and consistent use.
The research included both a no-diet group and a moderate-diet group. Body firmness and elasticity improved in the no-diet group, too. The larger thigh-measurement changes came from the diet group and must not be presented as an active-only result. Skincare is not a substitute for nutrition, movement or medical advice.
Sarcocapnos stem cell biotechnology features in HER Sculpting Body Lotion. The lotion is designed for firmer, smoother, more toned-looking body skin. The study samples were research formulas containing the active.
